Sonny Turner joined The Platters in 1959, replacing Tony Williams. The group had already produced meg-hits such as "The Great Pretender," "Only You," "You'll Never Know", "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," and "Twilight Time" - to name but a few. After he joined, the group continued to chart with "With This Ring," "I Love You a Thousand Times," and more... as well as rerecording the previous hits of The Platters. With and without The Platters he continued to perform up until QUITE recently. Sonny Turner died January 13th at the age of 82. David Fleming speaks with Turner about his career and more.

The Miracle Dolls - an indie alternative rock band fronted by twin sisters of Hidatsa/Kiowa descent, Danielle and Desiree De La Rosa, AKA Dani and Dezy Doll. Dezy on guitar and vocals, Dani on bass and vocals.

Desiree (Dezy) pased away January 9th due to complications with Covid-19. This is a re-edit of David Fleming's first interview with Dani and Dezy from 2015.

David Fleming speaks with peace activist Dr. Frank Romano about his book, "Love and Terror in the Middle East." During Romano’s last trip to Jerusalem, he stood in front of an Israeli bulldozer that was preparing to destroy a Bedouin village. He was arrested, beaten, stabbed, and deported… with this account being added to a recent 5th edition of the book.

David Fleming speaks with Marshall Hawkins, primarily known as a bass player, who got his start with the blues singer and pianist Betty Gray. He then played with Shirley Horn for several years before joining Miles Davis, after Ron Carter left what would be known as Davis’s second great quintet. Many other great names in there, but specific to THIS region, in 1978, Marshall moved to Idyllwild, and in 1986 California, home of the internationally famous high school for the arts. In 1986, he founded the Jazz program at the Idyllwild Arts Academy. Along with Gregory Robbins, Hawkins will guest conduct the Redlands symphony Big Band Holiday Jam on December 11th.
