Public Media Giving Days

Public Media Giving Days are May 1st and 2nd, making this the perfect time for KVCR to open the window for Spring Membership donations. The official dates of the KVCR Radio Spring Membership Drive are May 12th through May 14th, but contributions by phone and online starting on May 1st will count toward our Spring Drive Goal and automatically enter donors into the Early Bird contest for a 55 inch Smart TV. Your generosity sustains everything public media gives, from trusted journalism to entertainment and moments of discovery. With federal funding gone, individual support has never mattered more. Your gift this Spring helps build resilience for this new era.

Every year participation in Public Media Giving Days grows. Last year during PMGD, we began to share that KVCR faced the risk that our federal funding could end. Now, eliminated federal funding is our challenging reality.

On Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, we invite you to take two actions:

• Voice your views about how public media enriches your life. Share those thoughts on social media or at work. Maybe email that friend two states away and encourage them to do the same. Your personal statements matter.
• Then give what feels right to this station. It’s an ideal time to make your financial contribution.
• If you already support KVCR, make a special #PMGD2026 gift.
