KVCR delivers quality programming consistently to homes and businesses in your community. Your support of this public media service will further enhance our ability to provide education and informational resources. KVCR TV/FM is a Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) affiliate and a National Public Radio (NPR) affiliate.
KVCR-TV, (Inland Empire - Channel 24; Palm Springs area - Channels 9 & 18) was the first educational television station to broadcast in Southern California. Utilizing the latest technology, KVCR has a vision to educate and inspire the people in our community. KVCR NEWS 91, (91.9 FM) has delivered quality, commercial-free radio programming for more than 53 years and now delivers NEWS 91 online.
The KVCR vision comes to life through a unique concept called BEACoN. The plan is to utilize our ability to Communicate in creating synergies between Business, Education, Arts, and Non-profit organizations that will enhance and illuminate opportunities and benefit your community. We have committed over $1.5 million in resources building the appropriate infrastructure to provide the Inland Empire and Desert Cities with the necessary programs and services.
KVCR is currently involved in several community outreach projects including KVCR’s Autism Initiative, Green Initiative and Reflections On War. KVCR partakes in multiple events throughout the Inland Empire to help heighten awareness about these initiatives and our station’s impact on society. KVCR’s outreach focus on health education, environmental impact, history and the personal enrichment and appreciation of our community members. This year KVCR-TV will produce and air its 5th documentary on autism. This documentary will be released nationally to all PBS stations. KVCR-TV also broadcast courses for life-long learning.
