BIA of Baldy View Housing Policy Conference 2017

This National Home Ownership Month, KVCR attended the fourth Annual Housing Policy Conference in Ontario, CA where various agencies related to housing met in order to network and share ideas on how to overcome the current housing deficit in California, specifically in the Inland Empire. The Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIA), Baldy View Chapter hosted the fourth Annual Housing Policy Conference in partnership with the National Association of Home Builders, California Building Industry Association and Southern California Edison.

The restorative justice was encouraged by a group of parents at Bobby G. Dukes Middle School in Coachella, California that focuses on reconciliation and rehabilitation for their students. State of the Empire: Project Fighting Chance

*UPDATE* Kenny Lobatoz, 10 of Rialto, Terry Washington, 13 and Lolo Harris of San Bernardino will compete in the 2017 USA Boxing Junior Olympic in Charleston, West Virginia. Project Fighting Chance is a youth mentoring life skills program located in San Bernardino, Ca. The program also provides vocational training, education, and counseling services. KVCR NOW - News Edition: North Park Elementary Shooting

KVCR was on the scene on Monday, April 10, 2017 as a tragic even unfolded at North Park Elementary in San Bernardino. Police received reports of a shooting at a school shortly before 10:30 AM and police responded within minutes. Cedric Anderson, 53 of Riverside fatally shot his estranged wife Karen Elaine Smith, 53, also from Riverside. Two students who were behind Smith were struck by gunfire. Jonathan Martinez, 8 was airlifted to Loma Linda Hospital and later pronounced dead. The other student, 9 years old was listed in stable condition. For more KVCR videos go to kvcr.org
