A “Thank You Note” from KVCR General Manager, Alfredo Cruz.
July 1, 2014, marks the first day of our new fiscal year and I want to thank all of the viewers and listeners who supported KVCR with membership gifts over the past 12 months. Your generous support makes it possible for KVCR to exist and gives us great hope and enthusiasm for this next year. We’ve got some great new programs that you can expect along with the established favorites as we aim to serve you better with interesting, entertaining, educational and high-quality content tailored specifically for our diverse community. I also invite you to explore our Native American and World Indigenous channel FNX (First Nations Experience) – made possible by founding partners, The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. We’re very proud of FNX, as it is the first public television network in the country of its kind and already being broadcast by several stations to communities in 9 states! Locally, you can watch FNX over the air on KVCR’s Digital Channel 24.2, on Direct TV Ch 24-2, and on Verizon FiOS Ch 471. And soon, FNX will be available on the Public Television satellite system to hundreds of stations all across the country! For more on FNX visit www.fnx.org.
As you can tell, we’ve got a lot to be excited about going into this new fiscal year. And like all valuable endeavors, it isn’t going to be easy. However, I know that with your continued support, many more great things are yet to come. Thank you for making KVCR your Inland Southern California public media source and companion.
With much appreciation,
KVCR/FNX General Manager
