KVCR Legacy Society

So much has changed in the 60 years since the first KVCR broadcast. In many ways, public television and public radio have grown up and KVCR has become a permanent and positive presence in the lives of so many in Southern California.
We continue to seek and depend on regular membership contributions from friends, especially new generations of viewers and listeners. But in the long run our future will depend, more and more, on special gifts from long-time friends who want to assure the long-term stability of KVCR.
One of the many ways you can choose to express your deep commitment to public television and radio is by naming KVCR in your will or trust. This is a way to make a lasting contribution without affecting your current financial obligations and future security.
KVCR long-term stability is based on solid planning which will ensure that we are here in the future to serve Southern California. Your thoughtful choice to include KVCR in your estate plan would go a long way toward helping make this future a reality.
You may choose to give a percentage of your estate, or all or part of the residue that is left over after all other gifts and bequests are completed. Specific dollar gifts and other property are also welcome.
Here is a sample of a simple bequest language:
"I give to KVCR Educational Foundation, Inc. whose current legal address is 701 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., San Bernardino, CA 92410 the sum of $________ to be used for its general charitable purposes as the station leadership of KVCR shall determine. KVCR’s Tax I.D. Number is 33-0880165."
Or
"I give to KVCR Educational Foundation, Inc. whose current legal address is 701 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., San Bernardino, CA 92410 _____% of my estate (or name the particular asset base such as 10% of my cash assets) to be used for its general charitable purposes as the station leadership of KVCR shall determine. KVCR’s Tax I.D. Number is 33-0880165"
There are many ways to plan special gifts for KVCR and your other charitable interests; a bequest through your will is just one. Whatever your plans may be, we encourage you to call or write for more information, without obligation.
Before planning your gift, KVCR also encourages you to seek the services of an attorney or other professional advisor.
