Today is Opening Day for the Inland Empire 66ers. The minor league affiliate for the L-A Angels plays its first game of the season tomorrow evening at San Manuel Stadium in downtown San Bernardino. 66ers Director of Broadcasting Sam Farber says it’s an easy, economical way for families to enjoy “America’s Pastime” without having to waste time driving to and from the big city.

“If you do live in the Inland Empire, this is your team. This is a chance to get a professional baseball experience -- without having to make that drive out to Angels Stadium or Dodgers Stadium – and get all the great food and all the fun that comes with being at a professional baseball game.”

First pitch for the 66ers home opener is today evening at 7. For tickets and other information, go online to “”
