Several local and statewide arts organizations are holding a big one-day conference of artists in Rancho Cucamonga. Amogn the topoics to be discussed: the impact of the arts on the Inland Empire economy.
The Superintendent of San Bernardino County Schools, Dr. Gary Thomas, will retire from his position at the end of this year. Dr. Thomas took over the job of County Schools Superintendent just as the State of California began devastating budget cuts to school districts across the state. Dr. Thomas recounts to KVCR's Ken Vincent the difficult times he had to oversee, and how hge and his team eventually brought post-recession stability and academic improvement to the dozens of school districts that cover San Bernardino County.
