91.9 KVCR’s regular Tuesday morning contributor John Husing, the Chief Economist for the Inland Empire Economic Partnership, last week began a new series of commentaries focusing on the growing rate of poverty in the Inland Empire. It’s a topic Dr. Husing has long written about in reports and articles, and talked about in speeches and on 91.9 KVCR. In the coming weeks, he’ll suggest a variety of strategies that IE leaders should consider to alleviate poverty. In this segment, Dr Husing outlines the issues and economic forces that have aggravated poverty not just here in our region, but across the nation.
